Allen Co, OH (January 3, 2025) – A serious injury semi-truck crash occurred on Friday afternoon in Allen County, resulting in two individuals being injured after a semi-truck lost control on slick roads and struck an SUV. The incident was reported by local authorities and took place around 3:00 p.m. on State Route 65, just north of Cairo.
According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, the semi-truck, traveling northbound on SR 65, lost control of the icy road conditions and hit the side of an SUV. The collision caused significant damage to both vehicles, and the SUV’s driver and passenger had to be extricated from their car by the Allen County Fire Department. Emergency medical crews transported both individuals to a nearby hospital with injuries. The extent of their injuries has not been released at this time.
The crash led to road closures along SR 65 while emergency teams worked to clear the wreckage and make the area safe for other drivers. Traffic in the area was significantly delayed, and authorities urged motorists to avoid the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
