Brunswick, OH (January 18, 2025) – An injury building fire occurred on January 17 at the Cross Creek Apartments, located at 1300 Cross Creek Dr., sending one tenant to the hospital with serious injuries. The Brunswick Fire Department responded swiftly to the fire, which started in one apartment but spread smoke to surrounding units. Fortunately, the fire was quickly extinguished, and firefighters ensured the safety of all other tenants.

According to building management, the tenant in the originating unit was hospitalized, and their condition is currently being monitored. Another individual was treated for smoke inhalation, but no other injuries were reported, and no pets were harmed.

Emergency medical services transported the injured tenant to the hospital, where authorities have been closely monitoring their condition. During the incident, police and fire departments secured the area, controlling traffic and providing assistance to residents.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the building management has yet to provide an estimate of the damages.
