Cincinnati, OH (December 1, 2024) – An injury car crash occurred early Thursday morning on Interstate 75 North near Downtown Cincinnati. At approximately 12:20 a.m., a Cincinnati Police officer’s car, which was parked on the shoulder while she was investigating a prior crash, was hit by another driver.
The officer, who sustained injuries, was promptly transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she was treated and later released. Fortunately, no other individuals were injured in the crash. Authorities have confirmed that the officer is expected to make a full recovery.
The incident led to a temporary closure of the northbound lanes of I-75 at Ezzard Charles Drive in the West End. Emergency response teams, including firefighters, assisted with vehicle extrication and traffic management. By 4:00 a.m., the lanes were reopened, allowing traffic to resume.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to the officer involved, as well as to her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
