Cincinnati, OH (March 2, 2024) – Police in the Cincinnati area were dispatched to the scene of a fatal collision on Friday night, March 1st. The accident happened around 8:15 p.m. in the 4100 block of Reading Road.
The Cincinnati Police Department was summoned shortly after the accident occurred. According to a report, the collision involved a Chevrolet Suburban and a Nissan Sentra. Officials say that the Suburban was traveling northbound on Reading Road when the vehicle collided with the Sentra. The exact cause of the accident has not been released, although police believe that excessive speed and impairment may have played a role. Two people inside the Sentra, including a 55-year-old woman, were rushed to a hospital with critical injuries. Both victims succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The Suburban driver, a 56-year-old man, was taken to UC Medical Center with serious injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The road was closed for several hours while an investigation was conducted. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel. The accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department.
