Clayton, OH (August 15, 2024) – A serious motor vehicle collision occurred on Thursday evening in Clayton, involving two vehicles and resulting in significant damage. The incident, reported by Montgomery County Dispatch, happened at approximately 6:39 p.m. at the intersection of Old Salem Rd and Union Rd.

According to Sgt. Jeff Patenaude with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash involved a 2001 Ford F-150 driven by Issac Grubbs, 39, of Englewood, and a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Nathan Netti, 35, of Shaker Heights. Grubbs was traveling westbound on Old Salem Rd, while Netti was heading northbound on Union Rd when their vehicles collided. The force of the impact caused Grubbs’ truck to veer off the road, roll over, and crash into a house on Old Salem Rd, damaging the exterior wall. Thankfully, two residents were inside the home at the time but were not injured. They, along with a neighboring resident, were evacuated as a precaution due to a gas line being struck. Emergency responders, including fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and provide assistance. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation, and their conditions are currently unknown. The intersection remains closed as authorities continue their investigation.
