Cleveland, OH (January 7, 2025) – An injury multi-car crash occurred on January 7 evening, temporarily closing three left lanes of Interstate 90 East near Dead Man’s Curve. The crash caused significant disruptions for eastbound drivers and was reported by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) at approximately 8:30 p.m. near the Lakeside Avenue exit in the Cleveland area.

According to the ODOT, the incident involved multiple cars, with one of them rolling over after colliding with another. Emergency responders, including paramedics and firefighters, were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters worked diligently to extricate the cars and assist in securing the safety of those involved.

The injured driver was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. At this time, authorities have not released details regarding the severity of the injuries, and no fatalities have been confirmed. ODOT issued an alert to motorists about the lane closure, warning of possible delays. The alert was later canceled after the lanes were reopened around 10:00 p.m.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is actively investigating the cause of the crash while authorities continue to assess potential contributing factors. Traffic has since returned to normal in the area.
