Columbus, OH (August 19, 2024) – A wrong-way car crash on East Livingston Avenue early on Monday, August 19, resulted in one fatality and three people injured. The collision occurred around 3:30 a.m. at the intersection with South Hamilton Road.

According to the Columbus Police Department, a red vehicle traveling the wrong way down East Livingston Avenue collided head-on with a dark blue vehicle. The woman driving the blue car was pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries. The driver of the red vehicle and a male passenger were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Another male passenger from the red vehicle was taken to a different hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Emergency services, including fire personnel, were involved in extricating the victims from the wreckage and managing the scene. The area remains closed for several hours as authorities investigate the incident and manage traffic disruptions. Local law enforcement officials are currently investigating the wreck.
