Columbus, OH (January 29, 2025) – An injury multi-car crash occurred on Wednesday evening at approximately 7:56 p.m. EST on the I-70 eastbound and I-71 northbound ramp. The crash involved multiple cars, and emergency responders, including police and firefighters, were quickly on the scene.

According to authorities, the crash caused significant traffic disruptions as first responders worked to secure the area. Emergency medical teams transported at least one individual to a nearby hospital with injuries. The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed at this time. Authorities have confirmed that no fatalities occurred, but the situation remains under investigation.

The Columbus Fire Department was called in to assist with vehicle extrication and to prevent any further risks of fire or hazardous conditions. The authorities worked diligently to manage traffic flow and clear the wreckage, with delays reported on both highways as a result of the crash.

The cause of the collision is still being reviewed, but witnesses on-site mentioned that the crash occurred on the ramp, which can often become a high-risk area due to merging traffic.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to those affected by this crash. We hope for a swift recovery for all those involved and extend our deepest sympathies to their families during this challenging time.
