Columbus, OH (December 23, 2024) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash occurred early Monday morning on Interstate 270 South in northeast Columbus. The collision, which took place just after 8:30 a.m. in Blendon Township, resulted in the hospitalization of one individual injuries and the death of another.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began when the driver of a Honda abruptly changed lanes and struck the driver’s side mirror of a Buick. The Honda continued, colliding with a semi-trailer shortly after.
The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:45 a.m., while the semi-truck driver, who was injured, was transported to a local hospital. Fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening. The driver of the Buick was uninjured. Emergency responders, including paramedics and firefighters, worked diligently to secure the scene and extract the vehicles.
