Columbus, OH (July 1, 2024) – The Columbus Police Department responded to the scene of a hit-and-run crash with injuries on Sunday night, June 30th. The accident occurred around 11:50 p.m. on West Broad Street at Starling Street.
According to a report from the scene, the victim was walking in a crosswalk when they were struck by a black SUV that was traveling westbound on West Broad Street. The SUV did not stop at the intersection before striking the pedestrian. The vehicle then continued westbound on West Broad after the collision. The pedestrian was taken to Grant Medical Center with a broken leg and other injuries. Police are searching for the vehicle at this time. There is no word on the victim’s identity. The incident remains under investigation. There is no further information available.
