Dayton, OH (July 6, 2024) – Police and rescue crews responded to a crash involving an RTA bus in Dayton on Saturday, July 6. The crash happened at the intersection of Marathon Avenue and Wehatley Avenue.

According to an initial dispatch report, the accident happened when a car ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with the RTA bus. The bus then veered off the road and crashed into the steps of a nearby apartment building. The Dayton Fire Department, along with the Dayton Police Department, arrived at the scene shortly after the accident happened. A total of eight people were transported to an area hospital after the crash. All of the injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening. No one involved in the accident was identified. The accident remains under investigation by local authorities, and more updates will be published as the inquiry continues.
