Dayton, OH (February 7, 2024) – The Dayton Police Department responded to the scene of a multi-car collision on Wednesday, February 7th. The crash took place around 7:20 a.m. at the intersection of East Third Street and South Keowee Street.

Officials say that a Ford F-150 was traveling on East Third when the driver came to a stop light at the intersection. The light was red in the truck’s direction of travel. The driver of the Ford failed to stop for the red light and entered the intersection, colliding with a 2022 Honda Odyssey. The Ford then struck a U.S. Postal Service truck and a 2015 Honda Accord before catching fire.

Paramedics responded to the scene and transported a total of four people to the hospital with injuries ranging from minor to severe. No one involved in the collision has been identified at this time. Police closed the road for several hours while the accident was investigated. The road later reopened around 10:30 a.m. There is no word on charges in connection with the crash. The accident remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
