Dayton, OH (January 27, 2024) – The Dayton Police Department was dispatched to the scene of an injury crash on Friday evening, January 26th. The crash happened at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Third Street in the downtown area.

According to a report from the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, a total of two vehicles were involved in the accident. Both fire and EMS crews responded to the accident scene. At least one person was transferred to Miami Valley Hospital with unknown injuries. It is unclear if more than one person was hurt in the collision. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. No one involved has been identified.

The road was closed for approximately an hour and reopened around 9:30 p.m. Drivers were advised to avoid the scene and to find alternate routes of travel during this time. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.

The crash remains under investigation. There is no additional information available.
