Dayton, OH (February 6, 2024) – The Dayton Police Department responded to reports of a two-car accident on Monday, February 5th. The collision took place around 6:50 a.m. North Findlay Street at the intersection with East First Street.
According to officials, a Dayton resident was operating a black 2012 Mercedes Benz on North Findlay when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto East First Street. While turning, the Mercedes failed to yield the right of way to a black 2012 Kia Sorrento operated by Calvin Dean McDaniel, Jr., of Dayton. The two cars collided with one another at the intersection. The Dayton Fire Department responded to the scene. McDaniel was treated for non-life-threatening injuries on scene. The Mercedes driver received a citation for failing to yield the right of way. There were no other vehicles involved or injuries reported in the crash. No further information has been released.
