Dayton, OH (May 10, 2024) – The Dayton Police Department responded to the scene of an injury accident on Friday morning, May 10th. The crash was reported around 5:40 a.m. on South Gettysburg Avenue near the intersection with Guthrie Road.
According to a report from the scene, two cars were traveling in the same direction on South Gettysburg. One of the vehicles failed to keep a safe distance from the other. When the first car came to a stop, it was rear-ended by the second vehicle. One person in the first vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second car left the scene before police could arrive. There is no description of the vehicle or the subject available at this time. Police continue to investigate the accident.
