Dayton, OH (May 29, 2024) – Police in the Dayton area were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Wednesday, May 29. The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Fifth Street and Wayne Avenue.
According to an official report, Maria Rose, of Dayton, was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy eastbound on Fifth Street. At the same time, Michelle White, of Dayton, was driving a 2020 GMC Terrain in front of Rose’s vehicle. White stopped at the intersection due to pedestrian traffic. For reasons that are still under investigation, Rose’s vehicle collided with the rear end of the Terrain at an unknown rate of speed. White suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. There is no further word on her condition at this time. Local authorities continue to inquire into the causes of the crash.
