Dayton, OH (May 26, 2024) – The Dayton Police Department was dispatched to the scene of an injury accident on Saturday, May 25th. The crash was reported at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Gettysburg Avenue near the intersection with Oakridge Drive.
According to a report from the scene, 25-year-old Millard Taylor, of Franklin, was driving a white Chevrolet Equinox on Gettysburg. At the same time, Dalevon Hayes, of Dayton, was driving a 2004 Ford F-250 in the opposite direction on the same road. Hayes tried to make a left turn onto Oakridge Drive but failed to yield the right of way before turning, resulting in a crash involving the two vehicles. Both Taylor and her passenger, Kaylen Burney, of Dayton, were taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Hayes was not hurt in the crash. An investigation remains ongoing and there is no word on whether any charges will be filed. There is no additional information available.
