Dayton, OH (May 27, 2024) – The Dayton Police Department was called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident with injuries on Sunday, May 26th. The accident took place around 2:45 p.m. on Benson Drive near the intersection with Wakefield Avenue.
According to a report from the Dayton Police Department, Vondretta Jamison, of Dayton, was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion in an eastbound direction on Benson Drive. For unknown reasons, Jamison veered left of center near the intersection with Wakefield Avenue. As she went into the opposite travel lanes, her car collided head-on with a 2013 Jeep Patriot. The driver of the Patriot, Nasir Trible, of Dayton sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Paramedics responded to the scene to provide treatment to Trible. Jamison was not injured in the crash. Following an investigation, she was issued a citation for traveling left of center. No further details surrounding the accident are available at this time.
