Dayton, OH (December 11, 2024) – A tragic car crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Dayton, claiming the life of a 20-year-old man and leaving two others seriously injured. The incident, reported by the Dayton Police Department, took place at approximately 4:28 p.m. in the 4000 block of Valley Pike, near the Dayton Scream Park.
Investigators determined that a Ford Focus, traveling east on Valley Pike toward Wrightway Road, lost control. The vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with a GMC Yukon heading in the opposite direction. Hadin Davis, a passenger in the Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene. Both the 21-year-old driver of the Ford and the 45-year-old driver of the GMC were transported to the hospital with serious injuries but were reported to be in stable condition.
Firefighters worked tirelessly at the scene to extract the victims from the wreckage, while emergency medical teams, including Riverside EMS, arrived first before turning the scene over to Dayton crews. The Dayton Police Department’s Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
Our thoughts are with the families of the victims during this incredibly difficult time.
