Dayton, OH (May 21, 2024) – Two people were injured following a crash that took place in Dayton on Monday, May 20th. The crash occurred around 2:20 p.m. on State Route 29, near Fleetfoot Road.
According to an investigation, a 2016 Ford Focus collided with a 2020 red Kenworth semi-tractor that was traveling southbound on State Route 29. Two individuals in the crash were taken to Mercer Health for further treatment. A passenger in the Ford was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. The semi-truck driver refused treatment. No one involved in the accident has been identified. Police closed the road while they investigated the crash. Motorists were told to find alternate routes of travel and to avoid the area. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed. An investigation remains ongoing. No further information is available.
