Dayton, OH (July 24, 2024) – Police in Dayton were dispatched to the scene of a car accident with injuries on Wednesday morning, July 24th. The crash happened around 1:00 a.m. on Interstate 75 near the Dixie Highway.

Police say that the crash happened when a wrong-way driver lost control and collided head-on with a vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction. Two people were taken to an area hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries following the crash. There is no information on the identities of those involved. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident and have not said whether any charges are expected to be filed.  The road was shut down while the scene was cleared. Motorists were asked to avoid the area and to find alternate routes of travel. No further information has been released.
