Dayton, OH (January 7, 2024) – The Dayton Police Department was called to the scene of a three-vehicle accident on Saturday, January 6th. The crash took place around 7:30 p.m. on Litchfield Avenue at the intersection with Salem Avenue.
According to a report from the scene, Johnny Dunson, of Dayton, was driving a 2008 GMC Envoy when he came to the intersection. Dunson stopped at the stop sign and then began to make a turn. However, while turning he failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic and collided with a 2010 Chevrolet HHR driven by Mary Jordan-Goulston, of Dayton. The impact of the crash forced Jordan-Goulston’s car to collided with a 2004 Toyota Camry driven by Lewis Smith, of Dayton.
EMS crews arrived at the scene to treat Jordan-Goulston and Lewis for injuries. Jordan-Goulston was taken by Dayton EMS to Miami Valley Hospital. Smith was also trasnported by Dayton EMS to Grandview Medical Center. Both drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Following an investigation, Dunson was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
