Greenville, OH (April 25, 2024) – The Darke County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a car accident with injuries on Thursday morning, April 25th. The accident took place just after 8:00 a.m. on State Route 121 near the intersection with Weavers Fort Jefferson Road.
According to a report from the scene, a blue Buick Lesabre was traveling northbound on SR 121 near Weavers Fort Jefferson Road. The Buick driver, a 42-year-old woman, tried to make a left turn but turned directly into the path of a 2013 Hyundai Accent that was traveling northbound on SR 121. The two cars collided, resulting in heavy damage for both vehicles. The Buick driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries while the Hyundai driver, a 24-year-old woman from Greenville, had to be extricated from the car. She was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Two young children in the Hyundai were also airlifted from the scene with serious injuries. No one involved in the crash has been identified. An investigation remains ongoing. There is no additional information available.
