Harrison Township, OH (February 22, 2024) – A 63-year-old man who was killed in a pedestrian accident on Thursday, February 22nd has been identified. The accident was reported around 5:40 a.m. at the intersection of North Main Street and Dog Leg Road.

According to police, Gary Hinson was hit by a a silver 2005 Cadillac Deville that was traveling northbound on North Main Street. The front right side of the Cadillac struck Hinson as he walked along the side of the road. Hinson sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The Cadillac driver remained at the scene and was not injured in the accident. No additional vehicles or individuals were involved. Police closed the road while they investigated the crash. Drivers were told to avoid the area if possible. An investigation is ongoing at this time. It is unknown if any charges will be filed. No further details have been released.
