Jefferson Twp, OH (December 2, 2024) – A tragic car crash occurred on Sunday, December 1, in Jefferson Township, leaving two individuals with injuries and one dead. The incident, reported by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, took place around 8:33 p.m. on the 5000 block of Germantown Pike/State Route 4.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the crash involved two cars. A blue Chevrolet Impala, traveling south on Germantown Pike, reportedly went left of center and collided head-on with a black Toyota 4Runner heading north. The crash caused severe damage to both vehicles.

The driver of the Impala was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver and passenger of the Toyota 4Runner were both transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders, including firefighters, worked diligently to extricate the injured parties from the wreckage and ensure their swift transport to medical care. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Services Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
