Kettering, OH (March 3, 2024) – Officials in Kettering were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Saturday, March 2nd. The accident was reported around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Far Hills Avenue and David Road.
According to a report from police, Ruth Cruz, of Dayton, was operating a 2020 Honda Pilot on Far Hills Avenue when she came to a red light at the intersection with David Road. Cruz failed to stop for the traffic signal and entered the intersection where she collided with a 2011 Nissan Murano, driven by Norberto Salinas, of Dayton. Salinas suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by ambulance where he received treatment. Cruz was not hurt in the accident. Following an investigation, Cruz admitted to running the red light and was issued a citation for failing to obey a traffic control device. No further information has been released at this time.
We would like to extend our thoughts and well wishes to Norberto Salinas following this injury accident in Kettering. We hope for a full and speedy recovery.
