Logan Co, OH (November 14, 2024) – An injury car crash occurred on November 13 in Jefferson Township, resulting in one person being transported to the hospital. The accident, reported by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, took place at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Township Road 179 (T.R. 179) and County Road 10 (C.R. 10), just outside Bellefontaine.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, an 18-year-old driver, Aiden Taylor of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign. Taylor was reportedly operating a 2015 black Honda CR-V northbound on T.R. 179 when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic at the intersection and pulled into the path of a 2022 silver Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 48-year-old Lonnie Rader, also of Bellefontaine.

Rader’s pickup truck collided with the rear of Taylor’s Honda CR-V, causing significant damage to both vehicles. The impact left both vehicles incapacitated and in need of towing. Rader, who complained of possible injuries, was transported by Tri-Valley Fire and EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office and emergency personnel responded quickly, with deputies securing the scene and diverting traffic to prevent further accidents. Firefighters from Tri-Valley Fire Department assisted in extricating the vehicles from the intersection.
