Fatal Car Accidents in Ohio
There is nothing more devastating or heartbreaking than the loss of a loved one due to a traffic accident. In Ohio, more than 1,100 on average will tragically lose their lives in car accidents each year on our state’s roadways. Many of these accidents could have been prevented through the use of ordinary care and caution and most serious and fatal collisions occur because at least one person failed to operate their vehicle in a safe manner. The cause of every car accident in Ohio must be carefully investigated and the proper parties should be held legally accountable.
If you have tragically lost a loved one in an Ohio car accident, you could have certain legal rights. Under Ohio law, family members can file a claim on behalf of their relative. Ohio’s wrongful death laws allow recovery of various types of damages, including:

- Loss of earning capacity
- Loss of love and affection
