Mad River Township, OH (May 15, 2024) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a multi-car accident in Mad River Township on Tuesday, May 14th. The collision happened just before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Tecumseh Road and Dayton-Springfield Road.

According to a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Anthony Courtney, of Springfield, was driving a white Cadillac northbound on Tecumseh Road when he came to a stop sign. Courtney failed to yield at the stop sign and entered the intersection where he collided with two other vehicles. Courtney suffered minor injuries and was transferred to an area hospital for treatment. The drivers of the two other vehicles were also transported for treatment. There is no information on the conditions of the other two victims and no one else has been identified. Following an investigation, Courtney was charged with failure to yield and failure to wear a safety belt. The road was closed while an investigation was conducted. No additional details have been released.
