The incident, reported by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, took place shortly after 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Hillville Road and Mayberry Road.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Isabella Wilson, 19, of Elida, was driving westbound on Hillville Road when she collided with a car driven by Brian Langhals, 53, of Columbus Grove.
Wilson sustained minor injuries and was transported by Putnam County EMS to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. Her passenger, Tucker Wilson, 13, suffered a broken elbow along with head, neck, and pelvis injuries and was taken to the same Lima hospital by Beaverdam Richland EMS. Langhals also received minor injuries and was transported to the hospital, while his passenger, Angel Langhals, 53, did not require medical attention.
The patrol spokesperson noted that neither alcohol nor drugs were believed to have been factors, though distracted driving may have contributed. All occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. The authorities managed the scene and controlled traffic, while firefighters assisted in the extraction of the vehicles. Local law enforcement officials are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
We hope all those who have been harmed by this crash recover swiftly from their injuries.
