Morrow Co, OH (November 18, 2024) – A tragic car crash occurred early Sunday morning on State Route 95 in Franklin Township. The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) reported that a Nissan Altima veered left of center and collided head-on with a Honda Civic.
The Nissan, carrying three passengers, caused significant damage, requiring extrication by firefighters. The driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries and was taken to Marion General Hospital. One passenger, 27-year-old Sandeep Yadav, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was seriously injured and taken to Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital, while the driver of the Honda sustained minor injuries and was transported to Morrow County Hospital.
Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
