Perrysburg Twp, OH (November 15, 2024) – A serious multi-car crash occurred on Friday evening at approximately 6:50 p.m. at State Route 25 and Five Point Rd. The crash, which involved three cars and a pedestrian, is currently under investigation by the Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

According to authorities, Donna Farmer, 81, was driving a 2009 Honda southbound on State Route 25 when she attempted to make a left turn onto Five Point Rd. Farmer failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic and was struck by a 2024 Honda driven by Amy Schrag, 33, traveling northbound on State Route 25.

The collision caused both vehicles to become disabled in the northbound lanes of State Route 25. A motorist, whose identity has not been released, stopped to assist the drivers when the situation escalated. While the motorist was offering aid, a 2018 Kia, driven by 39-year-old Melissa Rudd, was traveling northbound on State Route 25 and struck the disabled vehicles, causing a chain reaction.

In the course of this secondary impact, the assisting motorist was struck and sustained serious injuries. The injured individuals were promptly attended to.

This crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution, particularly in conditions of low visibility or adverse weather. Motorists are reminded to slow down and yield the right of way when necessary to prevent accidents.
