Ohio Semi-Truck Accidents
Semi-trucks play an important role in our daily lives. They transport necessary materials and supplies that we use to sustain our lifestyle and our economy. However, a semi-truck is a large, powerful vehicle that weighs up to 80,000 pounds when it is fully loaded. It is easy to imagine that the force and power generated by a semi-truck accident can be massive, especially when the accident involves a much smaller vehicle.
Semi-truck collisions can result in serious injuries that are much more likely to occur than a crash between two passenger vehicles. Some of the most common injuries that occur in truck accidents are:
- Traumatic brain injuries or TBIs
- Broken bones
- Strains and sprains
- Neck and spinal cord trauma
- Scarring and disfigurement
- Death
