Preble County, OH (July 31, 2024) – Police in Preble County were dispatched to the scene of a traffic accident with injuries on Wednesday morning, July 31st. The incident took place just before 9:00 a.m. on State Route 122 near the intersection with Waynes Trace Road.
According to an official with the Preble County Sheriff’s Office, a work van was stopped at a stop but failed to yield when entering the intersection. The van collided with a YMCA bus that was transporting 12 children to the Eaton YMCA. Two of the children aboard the bus suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital for treatment. No one in the van was injured, but the driver was cited for failing to yield. The accident remains under investigation. There is no additional information available at this time.
