Sabina, OH (May 20, 2024) – Several students were hurt in a bus crash on Monday, May 20th. The incident took place just after 3:00 p.m. on Interstate 71 in Sabina near Stone Road.
According to a report, the school bus was traveling southbound when it ran off the road and struck two culverts, a mailbox, and a ditch. Several students were aboard the bus at the time of the collision. A total of 14 occupants were taken from the scene to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. All of the injuries were reported as non-life-threatening. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash. Following an investigation, police charged the bus driver, 40-year-old Tonya A. Kimball, with operating a vehicle without reasonable control. No additional information has been released at this time.
