Seneca Co, OH (August 28, 2024) – A serious two-car crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Seneca County, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. The accident, reported by the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), took place at approximately 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 18 and Township Road 15 in Clinton Township.
According to OSHP, John Adcock III, 46, of Fremont, was traveling southbound on Township Road 15 when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by Sarah Law, 25, of Republic, who was eastbound on State Route 18. The impact caused Adcock’s vehicle to strike a traffic sign and overturn into a field at the southeast corner of the intersection. Law’s vehicle also struck a traffic sign before coming to rest in the same field. Destiny Stines, 28, of Fremont, a passenger in Adcock’s vehicle, was ejected and tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Adcock and Chavis Freeman, 40, also of Fremont, another passenger in Adcock’s vehicle, were ejected and flown to area hospitals with serious injuries. Law sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. OSHP reported that Stines, Adcock, and Freeman were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Destiny Stines. We hope that the other injured victims make a full recovery.
