Strongsville, OH (January 4, 2025) – An injury two-car crash occurred on Thursday afternoon in Strongsville, Ohio, resulting in injuries. The collision took place on Pearl Rd at the Ohio Turnpike Ramp, in the southbound lanes, near the intersection. Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 2:30 p.m. and found that airbags had been deployed in both cars involved.
According to the Strongsville Police Department, one of the vehicles failed to stop in time, striking the other in the rear, causing a chain reaction. The impact of the crash caused both cars to veer off the road. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported one of the injured individuals to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.
Firefighters were on hand to assist with the extrication of one of the victims, who was trapped inside the vehicle. The Strongsville Fire Department used specialized equipment to safely remove the individual from the wreckage. The area around the crash site was secured by the police, and traffic was temporarily rerouted to avoid further disruptions.
The condition of the injured individual remains unknown, but the incident is still under investigation.
