Vandalia, OH (March 21, 2024) – Police in Vandalia have now identified the victim of a motorcycle crash earlier this week. The accident originally occurred on Monday, March 18th around 7:10 p.m. on West National Road.
According to a report, 21-year-old Ian Childress was riding a 2004 Yamaha YZF-R6 motorcycle. Childress was traveling eastbound on West National Road when he collided with a 2017 Honda Accord that was pulling out of a car dealership. Childress suffered critical injuries and died at the crash scene. The Honda driver, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital with serious injuries. Two passengers in the Honda, including a 41-year-old man, were seriously hurt. There is no word on the identities of the injured victims at this time. There accident is still under investigation at this time. There is no additional information available.
