Washington Township, OH (February 3, 2024) – Police in Washington Township responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Friday night, February 2nd. The crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. on West Social Sow Road at the intersection with Yankee Street.
According to reports from the scene, a pickup truck and a sedan were involved in the accident. Police believe that the truck crossed over the double yellow line and collied head-on with the sedan. The driver of the sedan died at the accident scene while the driver of the pickup truck was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of the truck driver’s injuries are not known at this time. There were no additional injuries reported. There is no word on what caused the driver of the pickup truck to cross the center line. The crash remains under investigation at this time. It is unknown whether any charges will be filed.
