Washington Township, OH (February 17, 2024) – Police in the Washington Township area responded to the scene of a two-car injury crash on Friday, February 16th. The accident was reported around 7:25 p.m. on Yankee Street near the intersection with Heritage Road.
According to police, Robert Schroeder, of Springboro, was operating a 2019 Ford F-150 northbound on Yankee Street. At the same time, another driver was operating a 2021 Ford Explorer, also northbound on Yankee Street. The Explorer reduced its speed, however, Schroeder failed to slow his truck in time to avoid a collision. The Ford F-150 collided with the back of the Explorer, causing substantial damage to both cars. The driver of the Explorer was treated for non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. There is no further update on the victim or their condition at this time. No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation. There is no additional information available.
