Washington Township, OH (March 18, 2024) – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a serious multi-car collision in Washington Township on Monday afternoon, March 18th. The collision occurred around 1:15 p.m. on Yankee Street near Penbrooke Trail.
According to a report from the scene, a silver 2012 Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on Penbrooke Trail when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The Honda then collided with a Chevrolet Trailblazer that was traveling northbound on Yankee Street. The Trailblazer traveled left of center after being struck by the Honda. While in the opposite lanes, the Trailblazer collided with a Nissan Sentra that was traveling southbound on Yankee Street.
Fire and rescue crews responded to the scene and provided treatment to injured drivers of the Trailblazer and the Sentra. Both victims were taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. There is no update on their conditions at this time. No one involved in the accident has been identified at this time. An investigation is ongoing. No further details are available.
